I AM GROOT

As a bit of a follow up to my Groot sketch I did last week, I decided to test out my braaaand new surface pro 2 and Wacom feel carbon 🙂 i'm pretty happy with my purchase! and i'm fairly happy with my painting! Getting ready for uni!

Under the skin revisited

I decided to have another go at drawing Scarlett Johansson from Under the Skin. This time I didn't have a pencil just a fine liner and a multicoloured biro meaning ever line counts, also got a chance to play with colour

Hannibal photoshop painting

Started a painting of Mads Mikkelson as Hannibal, will probably do more to it but wanted to play with my Wacom tablet pretty badly since I haven't done much digital work recently.

Groot

So, I drew Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy today, I didn't have a pencil so sketched it in blue ballpoint then detailed it in fine liner 🙂 quite happy with this.

Not a great illustration

I did this more as an emotional release. It's a little bit inspired by Jacob's Ladder were Jacob is in the bath after his fever, that mixture of exhaustion and loss is how I've been feeling a lot recently.

There's a lot of personal symbolism here which I'm not going into, quite pleased with the aesthetic though. Done with letraset markers and fine liner

I’ve been finding it very hard

To draw since my mum died in May. After a good sob and some encouragement from my boyfriend I managed to churn this out. I got some awesome letraset markers for my anniversary gift from Tom which I've used here for the first time, very impressed with how easy they are to use!
