Aye Aye

Aye Ayes are one of the sadder species of animals I’ve read about. They are currently endangered partially due to deforestation and partially due to the fact they’re a little bit creepy looking. Local people kill them if they point their finger at them due to superstition.

One of the cool things about Aye Ayes (besides looking like a real life Jim Henson puppet) is on each hand they have a extra long finger which they use to wheedle grubs from trees (it has a ball joint so it can move it about as freely as an arm)
